Ceres Seeds züchten seit 1988 in Amsterdam Cannabis auf einem kontinuierlich hohen Level und gelten in den Niederlanden als eine angesehene Cannabissaatgutfirma. Sie konzentrieren sich auf eine kleine Anzahl von holländischen Sorten und perfektionieren diese kontinuierlich weiter, um die höchste Qualität und Stabilität zu garantieren.
Über die Jahre hinweg sind Ceres Seeds mit einigen wirklich großen Namen in der Cannabisindustrie assoziiert worden. Eines der Gründungsmitglieder entwickelte ein frühes Interesse an der Cannabiszüchtung, nachdem er mit seiner Oma Weed mit Stecklingen aus dem Sinsemilla Fan Club anbaute. Später taten sie sich mit sowohl dem Dreadlock Coffeeshop in Amsterdam als auch Sensi Seeds zusammen.
Ceres Seeds haben sich mittlerweile bewährt. In der heutigen Zeit, in der Trends kommen und gehen, sind ihre Cannabissamen grundsolide und basieren noch immer auf thailändischen, jamaikanischen und kolumbianischen Genetiken, die bereits über Generationen hinweg das Rückgrat des Amsterdamer Coffeeshop-Szene bilden.
